Love Notes
By: Laney Grosswiler
I love the sweet and gentle people who in spite of great hardship on
a daily basis, still say with a smile, "JESU ANAWEZA" - JESUS
IS ABLE. Pastor John (Wanyonyi of the church in Nzoia), every time he
stepped onto the platform during the crusade in Lukume and before he left
the platform, would lead the crowd in "Jesu Anawewa".
I shared all of this with Jane, the Secretary of the Board of Global Outreach
Services, Inc. Jane has had experience on other mission trips. "Going
to Africa for the first time is like your first kiss; it’s very
special. Like falling in love for the first time, you fell in love with
the people. You’ll never know if it’s just puppy love, Laney
or the real thing until you go back."
As I stood at the airport, tears streaming down my face, Pastor Julius
(Mbagaya) said to me, "He who sows in tears shall doubtless come
again rejoicing," and he hugged me bye.
