The Gift

I am always the kind of person who wants to leave a lasting impression, but I believe the gift I brought to Africa was more impressionable. How sad it would have been to take a gift and then to have never used it. I believe Jesus feels the same way. (The story of the Pounds in Luke 19:13-27 KJV)

I remember Tim (a Pastor in training and also a mechanic) saying, "Ron, I have more confidence in being able to handle this problem because you’re here." I believe that it was because where two or more are gathered together in Jesus’ name, Jesus was in our midst and Jesus is the one who gave Tim more confidence. Every time we had problems with any of the vehicles, the gift was brought out.

The gift was a toolbox containing every tool that one would need to fix a vehicle’s minor problem. I praise God that Jesus allowed me to bring a gift that they can use over and over again, as they have need.
