“Here is some offering (love gift) for the food project for missions. I was going to put something pretty on lay-away that was on sale. The Holy Spirit said, “No, I want you to lay a treasure in heaven.” A few years ago I may have said, “I deserve this trinket; I have always gone without raising the children.” I must be dying out to the flesh a little then, because I said, “Ok, Lord. Hummm. It’s Yours; whatever You want.” Sometimes that is a very hard statement to make. God is so good and patient with this stubborn child of His. God bless.”

Then she writes back just a short time later:

“I must share this exciting blessing with you. The last time, in obedience, I sent a certain amount of money instead of putting something on lay-away that I would have liked to have. The day I sent you the money, I went to a yard sale and found the exact items brand new, for ½ of what I was going to get in the store that were on sale! Wow, isn’t God so good! You can be sure I bought it and walked in obedience to God also. I don’t get blessed so quick most of the times. But that was a fast one for sure. Ha! God bless abundantly.”
